Matt Alden has been writing and performing since junior high. The same year he saw Kids In The Hall live to be exact. Matt has written and starred in many plays and was honoured at the 2010 Elizabeth Sterling Haynes awards, a nomination for Outstanding New Work at the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival for his play, Edmund.
Matt’s other highlights include acting and contributing material in the hit musical “Boy Groove” (Dora award winning, Just For Laughs). He is also a company member of the improvised soap comedy “Die-Nasty” (Canadian Comedy Award Winner 2007) and Rapid Fire Theatre Sports.
On television, Matt was a creator, writer and star of Tiny Plastic Men and was also head writer for the APTN series Delmer and Marta. He received a Canadian Screen Award nomination in 2013 for his writing and performance in Tiny Plastic Men. Recently, he released a comedic web series called Grass Is Always Greener.
